DESCRIPTION:2021 Let’s put more thoughts to the Food Waste  & Food Insecurity problem this year! \n\n\nFood Bank Singapore and Food Bank Singapore Ambassador Spoonful will hold an online workshop on Singapore’s Food Waste issues and Food Insecurity. \n  \nWhat is Food Bank Singapore? \nAn NPO that works primarily on the promotion of food waste and food insecurity awareness in Singapore. \nWebsite ＞Food Bank Singapore \n  \n[Fun Food Disposal Quiz]\n1. What percentage of the population is unable to eat satisfactorily in Singapore? \n① 1%　　② 5%　　③ 10% \n(The answer is ③) \n  \nAt first glance\, Singapore looks affluent\, but households with household incomes of less than $ 1\,500 make up 15% of the total population\, and 10% of the total do not eat well. It is by no means free from poverty. \nOn the other hand\, food waste in Singapore is 70\,000 tons per year (by the way\, 1.3 billion tons in the world as a whole)\, which means that each person throws away about two bowls of rice every day. \nThe capacity of 1500 Olympic-sized pools is filled with food waste each year. \n  \nSo what can we do about this problem? \nWhy don’t you think about it together with our children? \n  \n* This class is conducted by Food Bank Singapore\, in the English language. \n* There is no age limit\, but it is recommended for Primary school children! \n* The fee is $ 5 per family\, and the participation fee will be donated to Food Bank Singapore\, through Spoonful. \n  \n[Excerpts from terms and conditions: Please be sure to read and understand the entire ( TERMS & CONDITIONS APPLY) before applying for our event. ] \nTo participate\, you will need a device and WIFI environment that can connect to ZOOM. \n\n\n☆ During the class\, we will record a video of the ZOOM class.　 \nThe video may be used for our marketing purposes and may be subscribed by those who wish to watch the video at a later date\, for a fee.
