A Basilissimo (Best of Basilico) Valentine’s Dinner
Guests are invited to indulge in an intimate evening with Basilico Head Chef Luca Beccalli’s four-course Valentine’s Dinner. The romantic dining affair begins with a glass of welcome bubbly or a mocktail, followed by a medley of antipasti at the appetiser buffet; with highlights including Wagyu Beef Carpaccio with Rocket Salad and Truffle Dressing, and Boston Lobster with Lemon, Saffron and Lavender Sauce. Cheese lovers will delight in the cheese station featuring Italian specialty cheeses and a burrata bar with up to eight house-made infusions such as squid ink, saffron and violet, among others.
After a light start, tuck into the intermezzo course of Chef’s Crab and Avocado Salad with Orange-marinated Mazara del Vallo Prawns, for the perfect interlude.
As for main courses, Chef’s selection includes something from the ocean and something from the hills; whether a seafood or meat lover, the menu line-up will have options to pamper the palate of every diner. Enjoy Roasted Lobster Tail with Campari Zabaione, Beetroot Carpaccio, Asparagus Salad and Turnip Purée; Grilled Angus Beef Tenderloin served with Foie Gras Ravioli and Aged Balsamic Vinegar; Purple Potato Gnocchi with King Crab, Artichokes and Prosecco Wine Sauce; and Broad Beans and Green Peas Risotto with Sea Urchin and Hokkaido Scallop, just to name a few.The night continues with Pastry Chef Alex Chong’s decadent ‘Garden of Love’ chocolate dessert room, an edible garden concept featuring desserts such as White Chocolate Panna Cotta with Mandarin Orange Compote; 72% Dark Chocolate Almond Éclair; Grand Marnier Bonbon; as well as a gelato station with a selection of homemade ice-cream.
