Odette, the award-winning modern French fine-dining restaurant clinches 9th position in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurant list!
Being one of the only nine Singapore-based restaurants on the list, the restaurant celebrates its historic debut after the 2017 results were announced in Bangkok, Thailand. It is also recognised for its commitment to heartfelt hospitality and the best artisanal produce which is honoured in its Essential Cuisine approach to food. Odette’s entry was also awarded the Highest New Entry of the year during the night’s proceedings.
The Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list is generated based upon the votes of The Diners Club® Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy, which comprises chefs, restaurateurs, journalists, gourmands and respected opinion leaders from the F&B industry in Asia.
“To be presented with an entry into the list a year into our opening is an unexpected vote of confidence and an absolute honour especially when it is an acknowledgement from our peers in the industry. This award is first and foremost a recognition of the outstanding skills and talent of the young team at Odette. I am most lucky to have an incredible team whose heartfelt dedication has been instrumental in consistently delivering the Odette experience,” said Julien Royer, Chef-Owner of Odette. “2017 will be an exciting year for the restaurant, and as we to grow and evolve, I hope to continue in this endeavour to nurture and inspire another generation of chefs.”
Established in collaboration with The Lo & Behold Group, Odette offers a constantly evolving menu that showcases globally sourced produce underpinned by classic French culinary techniques. Named in tribute to Royer’s grandmother, one of his greatest influences in life and in the kitchen, the restaurant reflects her belief in always ensuring that the fundamental pleasures of enjoying a meal are delivered in the most thoughtful, welcoming and hospitable manner. The two-Michelin star restaurant was recently inducted into the prestigious Les Grande Tables Du Monde, the second restaurant in Singapore to be accorded the honour. Royer also made his debut on the annual Le Chef List of 100 Best Chefs in the World 2017.
